Fees Poru Poster Released; Statewide Protest on February 5
Vijayawada: The YSRC released Fees Poru (fight for fees reimbursement) poster at the party’s central office on Thursday by former ministers Jogi Ramesh, Ambati Rambabu and Vellampalli Srinivas, MLC Lella Appi Reddy and student leaders Panuganti Chaitanya and Ravichandra. The Fees Poru protest will be held across the state on February 5 by the YSRC, demanding immediate release of pending fee reimbursement funds. Jogi Ramesh criticised the government for not releasing fee reimbursement funds which he said has forced the students and parents into financial distress. He accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of betraying students by withholding funds and announced protests at collector offices across the state. Ambati Rambabu reiterated that Naidu’s government has withheld Rs 3,900 crore in dues, preventing students from receiving their certificates. He warned that the protest would escalate if the funds were not released immediately. Vellampalli Srinivas highlighted former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s reforms in the education sector and accused Naidu of neglecting students’ welfare. He mentioned that even Pawan Kalyan had acknowledged the improvement of government schools under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership. YSRC leaders vowed to continue their fight until the funds are released, warning that the agitation would intensify if the issue remains unresolved.
