Sex trade racket busted in Gachibowli

Hyderabad:Gachibowli police, along with the Cyberabad special operations team (SOT), busted an inter-state prostitution racket on Tuesday, rescuing two women and arresting two customers.

Gachibowli inspector Mohd Habibullah Khan said the operation was being run from a residential flat in Kondapur. Acting on a tip-off, the police and SOT raided the premises.

Officials revealed that women from West Bengal, Delhi and Maharashtra were being coerced into prostitution. The organisers remain at large and efforts are underway to apprehend them. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the ITPA Act.
