Buruga Tribals Thank Collector for School Building Funds

Visakhapatnam: The tribal residents of Buruga, a remote village in Ananthagiri mandal, have expressed gratitude to district collector A. S. Dinesh Kumar and ITDA PO V. Abhishek for approving Rs 15 lakh for constructing a new mandal parishad primary school building. Parents, including Somala Appalaraju, Buruga Pentayya, and Konaparthi Simhachalamu, highlighted the struggles of 36 students from Buruga and a neighbouring village, who have been studying under a tree at the Buruga mandal parishad school in Rompalli Panchayat. The school's distant location and inadequate facilities further compounded the challenges. In response to the community’s plea, authorities allocated funds for the new building and directed ITDA engineering officials to set up a temporary sheet shed to ensure uninterrupted learning. The community lauded the initiative, which aims to improve the learning environment. Currently, the school operates with just three teachers under challenging conditions. Parents are urging the swift construction of the new building to provide a better future for their children.
