Telangana: CM Hails Paralympian Deepthi Jeevanji's Arjuna Award
Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took to platform X and congratulated Paralympian Deepthi Jeevanji, and called her "Warangal Darling" and "Telangana Krida Ratnam," for receiving the prestigious Arjuna Award from President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Deepthi Jeevanji hails from Kalleda village of Warangal district in Telangana. Deepthi’s remarkable accomplishments include a bronze medal in the Women’s 400m T20 event at the 2024 Paralympic Games held in Paris, France, and another bronze in the same event at the 2024 World Championship in Kobe, Japan. Additionally, she secured a gold medal in the Women’s 400m T20 event at the 4th Asian Para Games held in Hangzhou, China, in 2023.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also highlighted Telangana’s commitment to fostering talent through improved sports policies, enabling more athletes to excel nationally and internationally. Deepti’s achievement brings pride to the state and inspires aspiring athletes.
