Rs.1lakh accepted as first installment: ACB
Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested Golla Srinivas, an Out Sourcing employee, working at the office of Chairman, Telangana Commission for Backward Classes, Khairatabad in Hyderabad, when he allegedly demanded and accepted Rs.1 lakh as bribe from a complainant.
The ACB officials said Srinivas accepted bribe as first installment for showing official to process the file related to the complainant’s caste and added that they recovered the bribe amount from the possession of the accused person.
Both hand fingers of Srinivas yielded positive result in the chemical test. The officials produced Srinivas before the special court for ACB cases after which the court remanded him to judicial custody. The case is under investigation.
