Donald Trump Inauguration Day 2025: On Monday, January 20, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. For the second time, Trump will succeed incumbent Joe Biden as president of the United States of America.

The inauguration committee declared that on Saturday, January 18, the swearing-in would officially begin with fireworks. A Make America Great Again (MAGA) victory rally on the day of the swearing-in ceremony and three VIP events at Trump’s golf course outside of Washington, DC, are also part of the four-day itinerary.

On January 20, Trump, who is 78, and Vice President J D Vance will take the oath of office. In front of thousands of people, they will take the oath of office alongside Chief Justice John Roberts of the Supreme Court on January 20 at noon Eastern Time in front of the Capitol in Washington, DC.

“The official portion of the inauguration will begin with a celebration and reception at Trump National Sterling, which will include a large fireworks display. The ceremonies will culminate with the historic swearing-in of President Donald J Trump,” the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee said Monday.

The president-elect owns the Trump Sterling golf facility in Sterling, Virginia, which is a suburb of Washington, DC.

Coincides with the Junior Day of Martin Luther King

For the first time in this century, a president will be sworn in on a federal holiday when Trump takes office this year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Typically, January 20 (or 21 if January 20 falls on a Sunday) is Inauguration Day; however, this overlap has resulted in special scheduling.

“The 2025 inaugural celebrations will reflect President-elect Trump’s historic return to the White House and the American people’s decisive vote to Make America Great Again,” said Co-Chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, PTI reported.

A comprehensive itinerary of the inaugural festivities, which will take place over four days beginning Saturday, was also made public by the committee.

These include the historic swearing-in, the inaugural procession, three inaugural balls, a MAGA Victory Rally to honor the American people, a fireworks display, and multiple dinners honoring the president-elect, vice-president-elect, and cabinet secretaries.

On January 21, the National Prayer Service would formally wrap up the inaugural rituals.

Events kick off from Saturday

The Vice President’s Dinner and Cabinet Reception will take place after the President’s Reception and fireworks at Trump Sterling on Saturday, January 18.

The president-elect was scheduled to take part in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery early on Sunday. Trump will speak at a candlelight dinner in the evening after addressing a victory rally with his supporters in the nation’s capital throughout the day.

Trump and his spouse, Melania Trump, would attend a service at the historic St. John’s Church on January 20 prior to the swearing-in event. They would then have tea with departing President Biden at the White House.

Trump would then take a car to the US Capitol for the noontime swearing-in ceremony. Then he will speak to the country.

Trump would then bid Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris farewell.

Trump would visit the Oval Office after Melania and he took part in a presidential parade on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Trump is expected to release a number of executive orders to fulfill his electoral pledges as soon as the formal signing ceremony concludes, according to PTI.

Trump would later go to three balls: the Starlight Ball, the Commander in Chief Ball, and the Liberty Inaugural Ball.

On January 21, Trump would attend and speak at the National Prayer Service held at the historic Washington National Cathedral, marking the official end of the inauguration proceedings.

January 18, 2025, Saturday:

-A President’s Reception and Fireworks at the Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Virginia, in Washington, DC, will kick off the day.

-Vice President’s Dinner and Cabinet Reception at the National Gallery of Art in Washington.

Make America Great Again Victory Rally

On Sunday, January 19, 2025:

Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, Washington, DC, will have a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

-Trump will speak at the “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” in Washington’s Capital One Arena at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.

-On that same day, Trump will also speak at a candlelight dinner at the National Building Museum in Washington.

January 20, 2025, Monday:

Trump will attend a ceremony at St. John’s Episcopal Church with his spouse, Melania Trump.

The White House tea.

-The swearing-in ceremony for Trump is set for 12 p.m. Eastern Time or 10:30 p.m. Indian Standard Time at the US Capitol.

-Goodbye to Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Joe Biden.

-Departure Ceremony at the US Capitol

-The Signing Room Ceremony for the President

-The congressional luncheon of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies

-The President’s Assessment of the Military

-Presidential Parade with around 7,500 participants on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington

-White House signing ceremony for the Oval Office -Trump will speak at the Commander in Chief Ball.

-Trump will give a speech at the inaugural ball for Liberty.

-A speech by Trump at the Starlight Ball.

January 21, 2025, Tuesday:

-The Washington National Cathedral will host the interfaith National Prayer Service.

“The 2025 inaugural celebrations will reflect President-elect Trump’s historic return to the White House and the American people’s decisive vote to Make America Great Again.“

The interfaith National Prayer Service, which will take place in the Washington National Cathedral at 11 a.m., will mark the conclusion of the celebrations.
