Power Firm Gears Up for Demand in GHMC Areas

These include separating and interlinking 35 KV and 11 KV feeders, upgrading infrastructure, and adding distribution transformers to meet the rising electricity demand. The power demand in Greater Hyderabad has surged compared to last year's dry season. Peak demand rose from 3,756 MW last year to 4,352 MW this year, marking a 16 per cent increase, while consumption grew 12 per cent to 90.68 million units. Officials anticipate even higher demand in the summer of 2025. Following the state government directives, TSSPDCL is working to ensure uninterrupted power supply regardless of demand surges.
