Jagtial Police Nabbed Five Members of Vehicle Lifting Gang

Karimnagar: Police arrested five members of a vehicle-lifting gang on Sunday, seizing five two-wheelers, a car, and five mobiles.

DSP D. Raghu Chander identified the accused as J. Gopal (36), S. Raju (37), N. Naresh (35), S. Kumaraswamy (27), and B. Rajendar (27), all from the erstwhile Adilabad district. The gang allegedly stole motorcycles, altered their parts and number plates, and resold them for easy money.

Following multiple complaints, police formed special teams led by circle inspector Krishna Reddy. During a vehicle check near Thippannapet village, officers intercepted a suspicious car and arrested the gang. During interrogation, the suspects admitted to several thefts.

A case has been registered, and the accused were remanded in judicial custody.
