Vijayawada: IT, electronics and education minister Nara Lokesh, who doubles up as chairman of Investment Task Force Committee for Andhra Pradesh, will be attending the five-day World Economic Forum Summit at Davos in Switzerland from Monday.

Though Lokesh will be accompanying AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, he has his own meetings lined up with over 50 prominent ambassadors, industrialists, and leaders of various countries at the summit in Davos.

The IT, electronics and education minister’s focus will be on attracting large-scale investments into Andhra Pradesh, which will generate employment for the youth of Andhra Pradesh.

Lokesh is scheduled to have face-to-face meetings with over 30 top globally renowned industrialists at the Andhra Pradesh Pavilion in Davos.

In addition, the minister will meet several academic experts to get an in-depth understanding of the radical changes taking place in the education sector across the globe, the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the modern world, and the role of gender parity sprint champions.

According to a press release here on Friday, Lokesh will take part in the round-table conference with representatives from Google and NVIDIA on next-gen AI, data factories and establishing the AI University in Andhra Pradesh.

Industrialists from the state are evincing keen interest in Lokesh's Davos visit, as he is attending the World Economic Forum summit for the first time.
