The organizers arranged separate premises for holding sheep and cockfights and gambling in AP’s Godavari region – East Godavari and West Godavari districts apart from erstwhile Krishna district. High-stake sheep and cockfights and gambling were organized on a large scale in the three districts. Royal Enfield bullets, SUVs and other interesting prizes were offered to the winners during the contests to ensure that the celebrations turn into memorable for everyone. In Chittoor district, Jallikattu, a traditional bull-taming sport was also organized in connection with the celebrations. Thousands of people residing in Hyderabad went to their hometowns in Andhra Pradesh by road, train and flight to celebrate the festival on a spectacular note with their families and friends. This resulted in Hyderabad roads wearing a deserted look since Saturday morning.
