Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ruled out a Cabinet expansion in the near future, stating that the decision rests with the party high command. Speaking to the media in New Delhi on Friday, he clarified that he has not proposed any names for ministerial positions.
On legal cases against opposition leaders, the CM asserted that the government would act strictly as per the rule book. “There is no urgency to arrest or send anyone to jail,” he said, emphasising the focus on long-term solutions to various issues.
Regarding the caste survey, Reddy said it was conducted after considering all relevant factors and expressed confidence that it would provide a permanent solution to the issue of Muslim reservations.
He also dismissed speculation about his relationship with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, stating, “I did not seek Rahul Gandhi’s appointment. If someone talks about my relationship with him, that’s their issue, not mine.” He further added that there is no need to respond to every criticism.
