�Yadadri: Police transferred the body of 14-year-old Katta Bhanu to the mortuary at Government Hospital, Choutuppal, for autopsy after he was allegedly beaten to death by his father, Saidulu, for returning home late from school.
Bhanu, a Class IX student at a local private school, reportedly suffered fatal injuries from an indiscriminate beating with sticks and hands at Aregudem in Choutuppal mandal. Family members tried to conduct secret funeral rites, prompting rural police to take control of the body. Tensions flared when relatives resisted efforts to shift the body for an autopsy.
Choutuppal sub-inspector G. Manmadha Kumar stated that the precise cause of death will be determined following the post-mortem report.
