Andhra Pradesh: Lokesh stresses role of skilled workforce

Vijayawada:Education Minister N. Lokesh has stressed the importance of hard work in achieving significant milestones in life.

Speaking at an event on Thursday, he congratulated Guttikonda Manogna, who achieved a remarkable score of 100 per cent in the JEE (Mains) 2025 examination. Lokesh praised Manogna, stating, “You have made the state proud, and I wish for you to achieve even greater successes.”

He provided his phone number to the student and promised to assist top-scorers whenever needed.

Stressing the vital role of parents in their children's achievements, the minister said, “I understand the significance of parents’ and more importantly the mother’s role in a child’s growth and successful performances.” He discussed with Manogna's father and others about the importance of industry-relevant skills in the education system.

Lokesh emphasised the need for a skilled workforce for the job market. He expressed his vision of not only creating job opportunities but also encouraging youth to reach a level where they can be entrepreneurs and provide jobs to others.

“After four years of engineering, it’s sad to see students struggle for suitable placements while there are those who achieve success with just four months of training in Ameerpet. We aim to ensure that students are job-ready when they step out of college,” the minister stated.
