2 killed, 5 hurt as car hits lorry from behind
Bhongir:A car accident on the bypass road near Bhongir on Thursday morning killed two family members and injured five others. The crash killed Bhukya Anusha (28) and her daughter Chaithra (7) instantly. The injured include Anusha's husband Santhosh, who was driving the car, his sister Bhavani, brother-in-law Ravi, and niece Moksha. Police reported that the accident happened when the car hit a lorry from behind. The lorry driver had turned abruptly into a petrol bunk without signalling. The family was travelling to Hyderabad from Venkatram Thanda in Kesamudram mandal, Mahbubabad district, after celebrating Sankranti. Rescue teams shifted the injured to Bhongir Area Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
