We haven’t seen Lonnie Walker IV in the NBA this season and he’s been spending his time playing overseas.

But he could be back in the league soon and there are a few teams eyeing the 26-year-old guard.

According to Marc Stein, per NBACentral, the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets, and Boston Celtics are “potential suitors” for Walker if he comes back from playing in the EuroLeague.

Before the 2024-25 season, Walker participated in the Celtics’ training camp but wasn’t able to secure a spot on the roster.

He then declined a contract in the G-league and signed with a Lithuanian team in the EuroLeague.

He has been doing quite well for that team, averaging 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on 43.7 percent from the field.

Before his attempt to sign with the Celtics, Walker played for the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, and Brooklyn Nets.

His NBA average sits at 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.

Walker is a young man who has gained praise for his ability to shoot, especially during some clutch moments.

He is a great candidate for any team that wants a strong, proven backup guard.

Walker could serve a number of teams really well, so it’s not a surprise to see interest from these squads.

He is available for a buyout from his current contract until February 18.
