Kings Rookie Could Make His Season Debut On Friday

The time has finally come for Sacramento Kings rookie Devin Carter to make his NBA debut.

On Friday, Shams Charania reported that Carter, the No. 13 overall pick in the NBA draft, will be available for Sacramento’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Carter has been out all season because of left shoulder surgery in July and has been rehabilitating.

Kings fans are expecting big things from Carter, but they may not see much on Friday night.

Carter has participated in two G-League games during his rehabilitation process, averaging 23.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 2.5 blocks.

Now that he is fully healed, he will be coming to Sacramento to play with the Kings, but he might battle for minutes.

The team wants to ease him onto the court after his injury because they don’t want him to get hurt again.

Additionally, Carter might not play a lot in Friday’s game because the team is facing the very tough Memphis Grizzlies.

If the score is tight, Carter could spend his time on the bench as head coach Doug Christie sticks with the regular rotation.

But even if Carter doesn’t play on Friday, he will soon be spending more time on the court.

The Kings could be changing a lot in the near future before the trade deadline, which means he is joining the team at a time when he could prove himself, earn important minutes, and perhaps become a vital part of the lineup.

The Kings are currently the 12th team in the West and are looking for help.

Hopefully, Carter can provide them with some assistance.
