When the NBA season began, it seemed like nothing could pry De’Aaron Fox away from the Sacramento Kings.
What a difference a few months make.
There is now significant speculation about Fox leaving the Kings, and a few potential suitors are being talked about as possible new homes for him.
“If Fox asks out, teams like San Antonio and Houston are the ones to watch. I’ve also heard rumors about the [Los Angeles] Lakers, but it’s hard to tell how much of that is just speculation because he’s a Klutch client. There’s also been talks about Miami, given his connection to Bam Adebayo,” Tim McMahon of ESPN reported, via Legion Hoops.

If Fox asks out of Sacramento, he will have a few teams vying for his talents.
No one can be blamed for wanting Fox because he is averaging 26.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game.
He remains one of the most competitive and athletic young guards in the league and the Kings would love to keep him.
But they have to be realistic about where they are at and what a new contract with Fox would cost.
If they feel it’s time to cut ties with him, or he makes it clear that he wants to leave, the Kings will have to field a few offers.
He has deep roots in Texas, so both the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs make sense.
Plus, both of those teams are on the rise and could greatly use Fox’s youthful energy and skill for years to come.
As for the Lakers and Miami Heat, they might envision Fox as the future of their franchise.
Multiple teams might want Fox for their own reasons, but who has the best shot at acquiring him if he does indeed hang up his crown with the Kings?
