Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations, has announced a record-breaking achievement for Yas Island and Saadiyat Island in 2024, surpassing 190 regional and international awards. This milestone marks a significant leap from the previous year, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a premier global tourism hub.

Yas Island secured over 175 accolades, further solidifying its status as a world-class entertainment destination. The island was named the ‘World’s Leading Theme Park Destination’ by the World Travel Awards and ‘Best Integrated Leisure Destination’ at the 2024 MENALAC Awards. Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, won its fifth consecutive title as the ‘World’s Leading Theme Park,’ while Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, was recognized as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Tourist Attraction.’

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, in its debut year, achieved over 20 regional and international honors, including a Guinness World Record for being the ‘Largest Marine-Life Theme Park in the World.’ The park’s launch campaign was recognized with the ‘Best PR Campaign Crisis Communication’ award at the 2024 PRCA Awards.

Yas Island’s marketing campaigns also earned global recognition, winning ‘Best Regional PR Campaign of the Year’ at the PRCA Awards and ‘Best Arabic Language Campaign’ at the MEPRA Awards. Additionally, the island secured multiple wins at the EFFIE Awards MENA and Smarties Awards for its engaging promotional efforts.

In the lifestyle and hospitality sector, Yas Bay Waterfront’s dining establishments earned six honors at the What’s On Awards Abu Dhabi 2024, while Yas Marina claimed six awards, including the Gold Award for Innovation at the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards. Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island and W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island also received multiple accolades, with Hilton named ‘Best Hotel in Abu Dhabi 2024.’

Saadiyat Island excelled as a luxury and cultural destination, winning over 20 awards. Recognized as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Beach Destination’ at the World Travel Awards, it also received the ‘Best Luxury Beachfront Destination’ title from The Luxury Lifestyle Awards. Additionally, the Abrahamic Family House was featured in TIME’s World’s Greatest Places list, underscoring its cultural significance.
