Union Minister review central schemes at Baghmara

Baghmara, Jan 22: The Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises ( MSME) Shobha Karandlaje visited South Garo Hills District today.

She held a review meeting at the New Circuit House with various line Departments of South Garo Hills District on the implementation of various central sector schemes relating to Industries & Commerce, Labour Department, Education, Tourism, Skill Development, State Roads and NH, Health Department , Social Welfare, BADO, Agri- Horticulture Department, PHE and others. Also the issues regarding the implementation of schemes also been addressed infront of the Minister.

The Union Minister enquired in depth the steps that have been carried out by the government departments in implementing various Government schemes under South Garo Hills District and suggestion for the improvement on various sectors have been made by the Minister.

While addressing the need for awareness Shobha Karandlaje emphasized on the importance of registering themselves for Aadhar, Eshram, NCS etc. Also, the Minister stressed on the collective responsibility in bringing development to the District and to achieve the vision of Vikshit Bharat by 2047 as envisoned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking North Eastern state along and it is the reason why they have been visiting the NorthEastern State more frequently so that they can assess the progress and challenges within the State stated the Union Minister.

Later after the meeting the Union Minister visited the Anganwadi Centres and interacted with the beneficiaries from ICDS, PMEGP Scheme, Labour, MSRLS . She also held one on one interaction with the people and sought their feedback in getting various centrally sponsored schemes .
