Visakhapatnam:� Visakhapatnam range DIG Gopinath Jatti conducted an inspection of security arrangements for the three-day Rath Saptami celebration, which started on Sunday morning with Surya Namaskar at the Arasavalli Suryanarayana Swamy temple in Srikakulam district.
The DIG, along with Srikakulam SP K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, held a detailed review regarding the security, starting with traffic management at Mill Junction. The DIG emphasised the importance of maintaining smooth traffic flow and directed officials for clearing parked vehicles.
He paid special attention to the specially established control room, where he reviewed security measures, queue management systems, and temple arrangements through surveillance systems.
He instructed officials to prevent overcrowding at the temple’s Simha Dwaram (main entrance). He also reviewed the arrangements at various facilities, including ticket counters, prasadam distribution centres, and the Indra Pushkarana area, where free darshan queues are organised. The DIG further reviewed the college grounds where cultural programmes are scheduled.
