Photo: Prathyush Nallella On Saturday evening, Bus depots, Railway stations and highway toll plazas were jam-packed with crowds as people began their journey to native places. Videos, showing roads turned into a sea of vehicles flooded social media platforms.�� Telangana Government had declared week-long holidays to school students from 11 to 17 January to celebrate the Hindu festival. While a long weekend (Second Saturday, Sunday and Sankranti) came handy for office-goers. Meanwhile, the police authorities are urging citizens to follow precautionary measures and shift their valuables to a bank or a safer location, while they leave their house. And also asked people to not reveal a lot of information on social media about their holidays as it may attract unwanted stares.
