From Budgeting to Bling: How Women Are Making Smarter Jewelry Choices
Financially savvy women are redefining jewelry trends, balancing tradition, affordability, and modern elegance
Women today, regardless of their income level, are becoming more mindful of their spending—especially when it comes to jewelry, says Aneesha Reddy, founder of Vibha Jewelers. Speaking at the launch of the newly designed Vinterra Collection, she highlighted the resurgence of traditional motifs like mango designs and kasu (coin) patterns, now reimagined with a modern twist.
"While ultra-modern designs were once in demand, there’s now a renewed appreciation for vintage aesthetics. That’s why we’ve introduced a unique blend of heritage and contemporary styles," she explained. She also pointed out the rising preference for lab-grown diamonds, praising their superior craftsmanship, affordability, and precision compared to natural diamonds.
Discussing wedding jewelry trends, Aneesha noted a shift from colorful gemstone-embedded designs to purely diamond-based pieces, reflecting evolving bridal preferences.
Vibha Jewelers, which operates in Santosh Nagar and Manikonda, has grown from humble beginnings—a single table at a family boutique—into a thriving jewelry business. The brand is now expanding its Manikonda branch, offering meticulously crafted in-house designs using advanced technology. Their collection spans everyday wear to luxury statement pieces, catering to diverse tastes.
Aneesha also highlighted a shift in the spending habits of financially independent women. "Unlike traditional homemakers who budget based on available funds, today’s working women—whether employees, entrepreneurs, or corporate leaders—assess the value of every rupee before making a purchase. They are mindful spenders but willing to invest in what truly matters," she said.
With the Vinterra Collection, Vibha Jewelers aims to bring nostalgic, heritage-inspired designs to modern buyers, ensuring the elegance of past generations continues to shine today.
