Donald Trump Proposes Death Penalty for ‘Rapists, Murderers, and Violent Criminals’

Washington, USA: As the president-elect gets ready to succeed the Democrat in the White House, Donald Trump blasted Joe Biden on Tuesday for reducing the sentences of nearly all American federal prisoners on death row.

In his last month in office, President Biden declared on Monday that he was changing the sentences of 37 of the 40 federal prisoners who were on death row to life in prison without the chance of release.

They included one who killed a jail guard, four for killings during bank robberies, and nine convicted of killing other inmates.

Trump said, “Joe Biden just commuted the Death Sentence on 37 of the worst killers in our Country,” on his social media account, Truth Social.

“You won’t believe he did this until you hear his actions. It doesn’t make sense. Friends and family are even more heartbroken. They find it unbelievable that this is taking place.

In the face of Republican Trump’s indications that he might reinstate the death sentence, Joe Biden was under pressure to take additional action before he left the White House on January 20.

Even though Biden chastised the prisoners he had saved and “their despicable acts,” he claimed that “my conscience and my experience” had led him to stop the impending Trump administration from carrying out executions.

However, he did not include three men in his order: a white supremacist who killed nine Black churchgoers in 2015, a gunman who killed eleven Jewish worshippers in 2018, and one of the Boston Marathon bombers in 2013.

According to Trump, the Justice Department will “vigorously pursue the death penalty to protect American families and children from violent rapists, murderers, and monsters.”

“We will be a Nation of Law and Order again!” he added.
