Cockroach infestation: Raids reveal serious violations at this restaurant in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: An inspection by the state food safety department on February 1st, 2025, at Kishkinda Kitchen (Kake di hatti), Road No. 36, Jubilee Hills uncovered several serious violations relating to hygiene and safety standards.

The establishment failed to provide valid reports including analysis reports, Fostac certificates and medical records of employees.
The outlet was operating with refrigerators, which are found to be littered with food waste and unclean. Drains in the kitchen were found to be clogged with food waste. Semi prepared food articles and raw materials, food and non-food items were found to be stored together.
The inspection further revealed live 'cockroach' infestation in the kitchen and rodent infestation as they found 'rat feces' at several places in the storage area.
Vegetables like lemons, potatoes etc were found in spoiled condition. Food handlers were found without gloves, the examination found.
The officials, who found expired food items including Real Fruit Orange juice (1L), Button Mushrooms (1.6kg), Sunflower Organo (600g), Packed Rai (200g) have discarded them.
