A few months after they were widely expected to make the playoffs and be a tough out there, the Sacramento Kings are in poor shape.

They fired Mike Brown after he had been their head coach for a little over two seasons, and until they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 110-100 on Monday, they had lost six games in a row, with five of those losses coming at home.

With the team sitting in 12th place in the Western Conference, there are now rumors that point guard De’Aaron Fox, their best player, wants out.

If he were to formally ask out, the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat would reportedly be interested in landing him, per NBACentral.

Fox is averaging 26.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.6 steals a game this season, and after turning 27 years of age less than two weeks ago, he should have lots of tread left on his tires.

The Rockets have surprised many by getting off to a 21-11 record, which is the third-best mark in the Western Conference, but they lack a true shot-creator, especially when the game slows down, and Fox would give them an excellent player in that category.

San Antonio is looking to build a competitive roster around Victor Wembanyama, the second-year 7-foot-3 phenom who is already becoming a nightmare for the rest of the NBA, and Fox could combine with him to create a scary duo for the next several years.

The Heat are dealing with rumors that star forward Jimmy Butler wants to be traded, and they would love to find a way to extend the viability of their current core.
