The Milwaukee Bucks sent Khris Middleton to the Washington Wizards on Thursday morning, saying goodbye to the 33-year-old star who had spent 12 years with them.
Middleton could bring a lot of experience to the Wizards, but they may not be interested in that.
According to Evan Sidery, the Wizards will “likely look to flip Khris Middleton in another trade within the next 24 hours.”
Middleton has a $34 million player option for next season, and the Wizards might not want to deal with that.
However, Middleton’s value on the trade market has never been lower, so Washington might have a tough time moving him.

Middleton is averaging 12.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game this season, shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 40.7 percent from the three-point line.
He has been no stranger to injuries over the last few years and has only played in 23 games so far this season.
Teams are likely cautious about acquiring Middleton because they don’t know how healthy he will be or how much he will play.
Plus, his contract makes him even more unappealing.
With that being said, Middleton has been in the league for years and is a three-time All-Star and champion.
There is a lot he can offer a team, even though his body might be starting to feel the impact of playing for so long.
If the Wizards want to get rid of Middleton, they might have to package him with other players or assets.
They can likely find another team somewhere in the league that wants him, but it might require a lot of work before Thursday’s deadline.
