Shams Charania is reporting that San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle has committed to partake in the Slam Dunk Contest next month in the Bay Area.
Castle has been having quite the season, and this will bring a lot more attention.

Castle has averaged 11.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game so far this season, shooting 40.3 percent from the field.
Not only is he a strong offensive threat, but he has also shown he has some deft defensive skills.
In fact, Castle has been talked about as one of the best new talents in the league and is in the running to win Rookie of the Year.
Most people agree that this won’t be the last All-Star event that Castle attends during his career.
