Nets Veteran Is Reportedly Available For Trade

The Brooklyn Nets aren’t the best team in the Eastern Conference but they have actually shown more fight than people expected.

Still, they will probably make some changes in the near future and may trade away one of their biggest stars.

According to Sam Amick and The Athletic, via NBACentral, the Nets are thinking about parting ways with Cam Thomas.

Amick wrote:

“Fourth-year gunner Cam Thomas (24.6 points per game) failed to come to terms on an extension and is widely considered to be available, but Brooklyn’s list of possibilities hardly ends there. They have proven vets like Dennis Schröder and Bojan Bogdanović, who has yet to play this season because of left foot surgery but is progressing toward a return.”

Thomas is putting up 24.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game from the Nest this season, shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 39.2 percent from the three-point line.

He is leading the team in points and could be a pretty big asset if the Nets want to improve their roster for the future.

But Amick noted that other players on the team could also be heading to different franchises throughout the league.

Dennis Schroder and Bojan Bogdanovic could be sought after by multiple teams and they could bolster Brooklyn’s chances in the seasons ahead.

The Nets actually have quite a few trade assets and draft picks that they could deal with, which means the future could be very bright for them.

Thomas could serve a number of teams and therefore might lay the groundwork for an exciting chapter for Brooklyn.
