The Chicago Bulls are the same team of old.
They’re not good enough to be a threat in the playoffs, nor bad enough to land a top draft pick.
However, they may have buried the hatchet with Zach LaVine.
The often-disgruntled shooting guard has been healthy this season, and he’s playing some of the best basketball of his career.
That’s why Lonzo Ball didn’t hesitate to give him his flowers.
After their big win over the slumping Washington Wizards, the UCLA product claimed that LaVine might be the most talented shooting guard he’s ever played with (via Julia Poe).

LaVine is a very talented player; no one can deny that.
However, he’s making top dollar, isn’t much of a defender, and has been hurt multiple times throughout his career.
That’s why fans and analysts alike have often urged the team to find him a trade suitor, but to no avail.
His big contract has made it a Herculean task for the Bulls to find him a new home, even after his power struggles with coach Billy Donovan and whatnot.
Perhaps teams will reconsider their stance on LaVine after watching him play this way.
As good as he is, the Bulls still need to consider their future, and having LaVine there prevents them from giving rookie Matas Buzelis the touches he needs to develop his game.
They must finally embrace a long-overdue rebuild, and LaVine shouldn’t be a part of it.
