The Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns both entered the season with high hopes and expectations.
Unfortunately, neither of those teams managed to keep the momentum going.
Now, they might look to solve each other’s problems.
According to a report by Jake Fischer (via NBA Central), a deal to bring Kevin Durant back to the Bay Area is gaining momentum.
Kevin Durant ending up in Golden State and Jimmy Butler ending up in Phoenix are in play and gaining momentum, per @JakeLFischer

The report indicates that Jimmy Butler could join the Suns, and while it’s difficult to see why Phoenix would pursue Butler without Durant, the report asserts that it’s a realistic possibility at this time.
Butler has burned plenty of bridges around the league, both with his former teams and some potential suitors.
He will become a free agent next season, but he may be tempted to sign a long-term contract with the Suns.
As for Durant, his tenure in the Bay area ended abruptly and on a low note, but he’s moved on.
A report from Brian Windhorst of ESPN indicated that any deal involving Durant and Butler might ultimately require the involvement of four or five teams.
He also thinks that as many as a dozen players could be on the move to make things happen.
We haven’t seen this kind of blockbuster deal happen very often in NBA history.
Then again, there has been nothing ordinary about this year’s trade deadline.
If Luka Doncic was traded, it seems like there aren’t many untouchable players in the league anymore.
