Insider Says Bulls Veteran Is ‘Name To Watch’ In Potential Nuggets Trade

The Denver Nuggets are reportedly trying to bolster their team.

There have been multiple reports about their interest in trading for Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine.

Of course, that will be easier said than done, considering that LaVine has one of the worst contracts in the league in terms of value.

That’s why the Nuggets might be eyeing another player to include in the deal.

According to a report by Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports, they would also gladly take Torrey Craig off of the Bulls’ hands.

Torrey Craig is a player to watch being included in trade negotiations between the Bulls and Nuggets on a potential Zach LaVine trade.

Craig, who started his career with the Nuggets, has been a non-factor for Billy Donovan’s team, but he could be an immediate contributor to the Nuggets’ rotations.

He’s only made six appearances this season, averaging well under six points per game.

Still, the Nuggets are in need of size, defense, and athleticism, and Craig checks all of those boxes.

He’s also familiar with their system, so he’d be a seamless, plug-and-play kind of guy for them.

Trading for LaVine comes with plenty of risk.

He has a history of a tough character, and he’s dealt with a myriad of injuries throughout the course of his career.

The Nuggets, however, know they need to make a big splash in the trade market to turn this season around.

They haven’t been very consistent this season, especially on the offensive end of the floor.

And with Jamal Murray struggling and Michael Porter Jr. failing to take a step forward, they will have no choice but to take some risks.
