Several teams have inquired about the availability of Nikola Vucevic of the Chicago Bulls but none have been able to put together the right package for the 34-year-old big man.
The Golden State Warriors want Vucevic but they don’t want to pay the cost.
Marc Stein reported that the Bulls desire a first-round pick for Vucevic, but the Warriors are only willing to give up second-rounders.
“The Bulls continue to seek a first-round pick in exchange for former All-Star center Nikola Vučević, league sources say. The Warriors have been at the front of the line in terms of potential Vučević suitors for weeks but, mired in a 10-20 funk that had them stuck at a lowly No. 11 in the West entering Monday’s play, have to date been unwilling to surrender more than second-round draft capital,” Stein wrote, per NBACentral.

Vucevic’s 2024-25 average is 20.1 points and 10.3 rebounds per game on 55.5 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from the three-point line.
He’s a strong, talented big man who could solve a lot of problems for the Warriors, and the Bulls are well aware of that.
They are entering the trade market as sellers, and they are going to make deals that give them the best returns for their most important players.
If they feel that Vucevic is worth a first-round pick, they will hold tightly to that demand, and they don’t care if the Warriors cannot agree to it.
Chicago’s front office feels that another team will eventually come along, or the Warriors will grow desperate before February 6.
The Warriors are currently 11th in the West with a 22-23 record.
Will they grow more nervous before the deadline and finally agree to Chicago’s steep demands?
