Speaking on his show, Gilbert Arenas stood up for Bronny and said that it’s not common for a rookie to face so much scrutiny.

He also added that Bronny is playing quite well, despite the headlines.

He claimed that if he was playing for 36 minutes per game, he’d be averaging 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists.

“He’d be top five for Rookie of the Year,” Arenas said.

"If [Bronny James] played 36mpg he'd average 12ppg, 4rpg & 4apg. He'd be Top 5 for Rookie of the Year!"
