Some people say the NBA has never had so much talent and that means certain stars are getting overlooked in terms of their greatness.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of those stars, according to his head coach, Doc Rivers.

Rivers recently talked about the Milwaukee Bucks icon and said he isn’t getting enough respect and is going “unnoticed.”

“It’s almost like he’s a forgotten great player in the league. I hear about everybody else, and I don’t hear enough about what Giannis is doing. He’s having a career year, and in some ways… I feel, it’s going unnoticed. You put his numbers against anybody in the league this year; you really can’t. Then we factor in that he plays on both sides of the ball as well,” Rivers said, per Legion Hoops.

For the season, Antetokounmpo is putting up an average of 30.8 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game on 60.5 percent from the field.

If those numbers hold, this will be the third year in a row that Antetokounmpo has averaged more than 30 points per game.

Like Rivers said, Antetokounmpo is a threat on both ends of the court.

He isn’t only capable of scoring a lot but he can be a lockdown defender as well.

With his 6-foot-11 frame and massive wingspan, it is hard for other players to get past or over Antetokounmpo and he can move down the court in a heartbeat.

Plus, he has a competitive spirit that is second to none and never less than 100 percent.

Even with his strong numbers, enthusiasm, and attitude, Antetokounmpo isn’t in the running for MVP this year and he is sometimes overlooked when people talk about the best player in the league.

But Rivers has seen what Antetokounmpo can do and will keep singing his praises.

Meanwhile, Bucks fans are elated to support such a committed and powerful player.
