Being a public figure in any capacity can be scary given how accessible personal information is on the internet, as privacy isn’t nearly as private as it used to be.
It’s especially troublesome for NBA players who spend so much time on the road, and their multimillion-dollar homes are often left unattended while they are traveling.
Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic reportedly experienced this downside of his fame recently.
“Luka Doncic’s Dallas home was burglarized Friday, per police. No one was home, and Luka and his family are safe. A police report has been filed, and the investigation is ongoing, per The Stein Line,” NBACentral wrote on X.

Doncic was going through enough already after recently succumbing to a calf injury that reportedly will keep him out for at least a month, and now he has to deal with the scary reality of a burglary.
It just goes to show that no matter how much fame or how many resources these players have available to them, there are people out there trying to take it all away.
There has been a disturbing trend of high-profile athletes having their homes broken into recently, as Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, Bobby Portis and Mike Conley have gone through the same thing in recent months.
It’s upsetting to know that these athletes all likely have top-tier home security systems and other forms of protection, yet this still happens.
