There Is Reportedly Tension Building With Bradley Beal, Suns

The situation between Bradley Beal and the Phoenix Suns seems to be deteriorating.

It was recently reported that the Suns will be moving Beal to the bench as they attempt to find more stability with their starting five and climb higher in the standings.

Beal is apparently unhappy with that move and a few others that are diminishing his role with the team.

Writing on X, Evan Sidery said there is “real tension within the Suns’ organization around Bradley Beal.”

Sidery wrote:

“Beal has been disgruntled with his role, and now being moved to the bench could escalate his concerns.”

Sidery added that Beal’s move to the bench may be “a play from Phoenix to push Beal to waive his no-trade clause.”

The Suns may want to move on from Beal, but they cannot do that unless he agrees.

He has a very unique no-trade clause written into his contract, which means any potential package that moves him to another team has to be cleared by him.

He controls his fate and future in the league.

Of course, if he is unhappy with his position on the team, he might choose to waive his no-trade clause and head to a different franchise.

Beal is still scoring more than 17 points a game and could be a huge help to plenty of teams across the league.

But before he can find a new home in the NBA, Beal has to ignore his no-trade clause and let the Suns create a plan.

If the tension continues to grow, he could ask out of Phoenix soon.
