The Phoenix Suns obviously want Jimmy Butler and they are willing to give up a lot to trade for him.
According to reporting from Brian Windhorst of ESPN, per NBACentral, the Suns have discussed including their 2031 first-round draft pick in a trade for Butler.
This is another sign that the Suns want to move on Butler, but they may not get the Miami Heat to play ball and send him their way.

Previous reports have suggested the Suns would be willing to give up Bradley Beal if the star would agree to waive his no-trade clause.
Would Beal move to Miami or a third team involved in a trade?
That is still up in the air, as are a lot of things about this potential trade.
Windhorst noted that Suns owner Mat Ishbia has been dealing away draft picks since taking control of the team.
He is obviously not afraid of parting with these picks in order to make the Suns better now.
Just a few days ago, they made a deal for Nick Richards, and some insiders feel they gave up too much to get him.
Will Ishbia be able to put a deal together for Butler, or will the Heat just sit still and not agree to anything?
They don’t want to hold on to a star who doesn’t want to be there, but they also don’t want to give him up for a package that doesn’t fit their needs.
Draft picks would be nice, but they also require win-now talent because of Butler’s prominence and role on the team.
The Suns are offering a lot, but it may not be enough.
