Andre Drummond has been playing well for the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 7.1 points and 7.6 rebounds during his 28 games of 2024-25.
He is hoping to keep those numbers up for the rest of the season, but he will look different moving forward.
That’s because, according to Etienne Catalan on X, Drummond is switching from his No. 5 jersey to No. 1.
That number was last worn by KJ Martin in 2025.
Fans don’t care what number Drummond wears; they just care that he keeps performing for the Sixers.

Drummond has been all over the NBA during his 12 seasons playing basketball.
His most successful years were when he started with the Detroit Pistons, where he averaged 14.4 points and 13.9 rebounds and earned two All-Star appearances.
He led the league in rebounds on four occasions before Drummond moved on to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, and Chicago Bulls.
This is actually Drummond’s second run with the Sixers because he played with them during the 2021-22 season.
Drummond’s numbers might not be as high as they once were, but he still provides a lot of help to the 76ers.
This is even more important this season because fellow big man Joel Embiid has missed so many games.
Therefore, the 76ers have turned to Drummond more often, and he has delivered.
Drummond’s name was tossed around as one to consider during the recent runup to the trade deadline.
That means he could be moving to another squad this summer.
But for now, he is happy in Philadelphia, even if his jersey looks different.
