Reports of the former couple's split began circulating earlier this week. The "Big Little Lies" actress had been seen publicly sans her engagement ring, most recently on an outing with her 'BLL' co-star, Shailene Woodley.

The "High Fidelity" actress and film lover, who recently visited the Criterion Closet with Tatum, was open about her desire to collaborate with him again on-screen, but in their personal lives, the duo was reportedly struggling to go forward in their relationship.

Sources reported to PEOPLE Magazine that the couple struggled to find themselves "on the same page" which caused them to "grow apart."

The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2021 when they were spotted by paparazzi, strongly supported one another's professional projects.

"Art is our love language," Kravitz told reporters at the "Blink Twice" premiere in August. "I think it's what we love, and we love talking about it, and experiencing it, and supporting each other," she continued.

Tatum also gave a 'thumbs up' to working with his former partner on set.

"If you are thinking about having a kid or if you're thinking about getting married, go find the hardest possible creative project with your partner," the actor said last summer. He also revealed he "suggests" collaborating with your partner.

"When you can look across the room or the set and know that you have the best person that is next to you trying to solve problems, and you're really looking to them for answers just as equally as trying to solve them yourself, that is unbelievable," he said.

Zoe Kravitz Called Her Allegedly Former Fiancé A 'Wonderful Man'

The couple was not shy about hiding their love, respect, and appreciation for one another from the public.

Kravitz revealed to GQ in an interview from two years ago how much the couple enjoyed "challenging each other" after watching a film.

"We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it," she also added. The "Divergent" star also revealed her admiration for Tatum and proclaimed he is a "wonderful human."

She also provided readers with a sneak peek into Tatum's heart, revealing how he took care of her on the set of "Blink Twice."

"Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector, and it was really wonderful and sweet" Kravitz described.

"I think if you can do something like that together, it's a good test. And we came out even stronger," she added.

Kravitz and Tatum got engaged in November of 2022.
