Jennifer Lopez's Ex-Staffer Speaks Out On Singer's Alleged Ties To Diddy's 'Criminal Misdeeds'
An ex-staffer for Jennifer Lopez has come forward with claims about her rumored links to rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs' alleged crimes.
A former staffer who worked with Jennifer Lopez in the early 2000s has come forward with claims about the singer's rumored links to embattled rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs' alleged sex crimes.
The ex-staffer, Thea de Sousa, insisted that Lopez has nothing to do with the sex scandal trailing her ex-boyfriend and that she shouldn't be dragged into his "criminal misdeeds," claiming she didn't know anything about it.
Jennifer Lopez and Sean "Diddy" Combs dated between 1999 and 2001 before splitting over his infidelity.
Jennifer Lopez's Former Staffer Distances The Singer From Diddy's Sex Abuse Scandal
Lopez's former staff, de Sousa, has taken to social media to address speculations that the singer knew about her ex-lover, Diddy's alleged sex crimes and was involved with it.
The employee, who worked with Lopez on the 2002 rom-com "Maid In Manhattan," distanced her from the embattled hip-hop mogul's wrongdoings, claiming she knew nothing about it.
"If you knew Jennifer Lopez, if you ever worked with her like I did, or if you were close with people who are like family to her like I am, you would know she did not have any idea about Diddy," de Sousa wrote on Threads, per the Daily Mail.
The ex-staffer continued, "She barely drinks, she is not a partier, she isn't a good time girl, she is a workaholic who uplifts [women] and who was charmed by him for a brief time in her life."
De Souza finished off her defense of the "Let's Get Loud" singer by saying she "does not deserve to be conflated with [Diddy's] shocking and criminal misdeeds."
Jennifer Lopez And Diddy's 'Tempestuous' Romance
Lopez and Diddy dated between the late 1990s and the early 2000s before she called it quits with the "Bad Boy for Life" rapper.
She previously spoke about her well-being during their relationship, saying that their romance was "tempestuous" and "emotionally draining."
"And we broke up many times before that, and got back together and broke up again, and nobody knew about it," the "Ain't Your Mama" singer explained, per the Daily Mail.
She added, "It was very tempestuous. Towards the end, it was emotionally exhausting. It was good that I was young."
Diddy Was Reportedly Not 'Faithful' To Jennifer Lopez
In a previous interview with Vibe Magazine, she stated that Diddy's infidelity was the major reason she decided to end things with him.
"It was the first time I was with someone who wasn't faithful," she told the news outlet in a 2003 interview. "I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin."
At the time, she also weighed in on reports that she'd often go knocking on hotel room doors looking for him.
"I can't remember right now, but I won't say it didn't happen," she shared. "I never caught him, but I just knew. He'd say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night."
"I had to think, do I want to be home with kids in 10 years wondering where somebody is at three in the morning?" she added.
The Singer Refused To Answer Questions On Diddy
The "Hustlers" actress is seemingly trying to keep her distance from Diddy's legal troubles as she tactfully evaded a fan's question pressing her about her thoughts on his alleged sex crimes.
Diddy was arrested on September 16 outside a luxurious hotel in Manhattan and has been locked up at the Brooklyn MDC for charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to the Daily Mail, Lopez was recently in the middle of signing autographs for a swarm of fans when an eager fan walked up to her and asked, "JLo, do you have any comments about Diddy and the allegations?"
She reportedly stopped signing the autograph and stormed out the door even though other fans pleaded, "Don't leave."
Jennifer Lopez's Ex-husband Claims She Knew About Diddy's 'Freak Offs'
Meanwhile, Lopez's ex-husband Ojani Noa took to his Instagram account to accuse her of taking part in Diddy's now-infamous "freak offs" parties, the drug-pedalled orgy where he allegedly sexually assaulted victims.
"I'M NOT ON THE LIST," Noa captioned the post he shared on Instagram. "To those people and media outlets asking if I ever went or participated in that Piece of Sh-t (DIDDY'S) Freak-Off Parties. No, and No. Never. But my Ex-Wife (Jennifer Lopez) a.k.a (JLO) Did... Ask Her."
"Oh, and ask her about the SEX TAPES," he added. "The 734 Dildos And The BABY OIL."
Noa, who married Lopez in February 1997, has often blamed their split on her working relationship with Diddy while they worked on her debut album "On the 6."
