Marriott is out for four months after he sustained a broken fibula during training while 37-year-old Fletcher had a knee injury flare up during Wrexham’s 1-0 win against Rotherham. James’ arrival also helps soften the blow of losing midfielder George Evans as he underwent surgery to fix damaged ankle ligaments.
