This season is pretty much lost for the Washington Wizards and that might turn them into active participants in the upcoming trade market.
Multiple Wizards players might be on the move in the weeks ahead, with one in particular reportedly already attracting some attention.
“The Wizards have received recent trade interest from multiple contending teams on Malcolm Brogdon,” Evan Sidery of Forbes wrote on X.

Brogdon has a $22.5 million expiring contract that is “an appealing trade chip for Washington,” according to Sidery.
The guard is averaging 14.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 51.0 percent from the field during his first season with the Wizards.
He has only participated in 10 games due to injuries but has started eight of those, showing that he brings a level of veteran experience the Wizards need.
Brogdon won Rookie of the Year in 2016-17 and Sixth Man of the Year two seasons ago.
Yet, the Wizards likely don’t see him as part of their future and may be willing to get the most out of his contract.
Although Brogdon has faced more injuries than normal lately, he is primed to be important to the right team.
Along with Kyle Kuzma, Jonas Valanciunas and others, Brogdon might be part of a large group that will be leaving Washington before the trade deadline.
With a 4-21 record and practically no chance of turning things around this season, the Wizards likely are willing to start talking about big trades that could lay the foundation for a better future.
Brogdon hasn’t had much time with Washington, but it sounds like he will be on the move soon.
It may be just a matter of finding out where he is going.
