Harry Kane is likely to return to the Bayern Munich squad for tomorrow’s game against RB Leipzig after missing the Rekordmeister’s last two Bundesliga games. The Englishman picked up a hamstring injury in the draw against Borussia Dortmund, and now Vincent Kompany has provided an update on the player’s availability.
Speaking in Thursday’s press conference, Kompany said: “I don’t want to say whether he will start or not. Today’s training is important. If everything goes well then hopefully, he’ll play a role tomorrow.”
Kane’s hat-trick against Augsburg on November 22 saw England’s top goalscorer become the quickest player to reach 50 Bundesliga goals, doing so in just 43 games and beating Erling Haaland’s record at Borussia Dortmund.
But the following game, against Borussia Dortmund, Kane was replaced after just 11 touches of the ball after 33 minutes, Bayern later confirming a hamstring injury.
Thomas Müller started against both Heidenheim and Mainz.
