Multiple Kings players scored in double digits, but no one had what it took to slow Wembanyama down.
It was another terrific night for the second-year superstar, who is posting 24.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, and a league-high 3.5 blocks per game.
He has been talked about as a potential Defensive Player of the Year, and Sunday night’s game strengthens the argument for him to win that prize.
The Spurs aren’t championship contenders yet, but they are showing fans glimpses of what they could look like in the future.
Wembanyama still has room to grow, but he’s a young man who is still turning into the player he will be.
It’s amazing to think that he could get better in the future, but that’s very likely.
Wembanyama has done so much in a short amount of time and at such a young age, but the sky really may be the limit for the French star.
How many more triple-doubles like this one are waiting for Spurs fans?
The Spurs are now the tenth team in the West with an 11-9 record.
They are clearly a better team than last year, and they could make some noise in the Play-In Tournament or even the playoffs.
Is the world really ready for Wembanyama’s triple-doubles in the postseason?
