The Golden State Warriors were one of the hottest teams in the first stretch of the NBA season.
That’s no longer the case.
Steve Kerr’s team has now lost four games in a row, bringing its record to 12-7.
It’s still way too early to panic, and Coach Kerr is more than familiar with these overreactions.
Following the loss to the Phoenix Suns, Kerr talked about how things go in the NBA, as everybody is quick to dismiss the team after a mini-slump, even though they were all raving about them just a couple of weeks ago (via Anthony Slater):
“This is how it is. It’s the NBA. It’s a competitive, vicious league. Four games ago, we’re on top of the world. Everybody’s happy. Now we’ve lost four in a row. Everybody’s p*****.”

Most of the losses have been quite close, and two came against some of the best teams in the league, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns.
Superstar point guard Stephen Curry also missed some time, and even when he was out there, he looked limited by a knee injury.
The Warriors currently hold the fourth spot in the Western Conference, but given the tight race, they cannot rest on their laurels.
They’ve looked like a much better team this season than they were last year, and they shouldn’t find much trouble getting back to their winning ways once Curry gets closer to full strength.
Notably, that might also mean the Warriors will look to give him some time off, as they need him to be as mobile as he usually is to get himself free on the perimeter.
