A video of LeBron James seemingly confronting television personality Stephen A. Smith was making the rounds on Friday morning and Smith spoke about it and cleared the air.
On “First Take,” Smith admitted that James spoke to him following the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the New York Knicks.
He also confirmed that James was telling him to monitor what he said about his son, Bronny.
“That was LeBron James coming up to me, unexpectedly I might add, to confront me about making sure I mind what I say about his son. I can’t repeat the words because they aren’t suited for FCC airwaves. That’s what he was doing.” Smith explained.

He added: “That wasn’t a basketball player confronting me. That was a parent. That was a father.”
Even though we will never know the specific things James said, he was clearly very upset with Smith and let his emotions be known.
After the brief confrontation, James walked to the locker room and the video instantly started bouncing all over the internet.
Smith has been one of the many sports analysts to criticize the rookie season of Bronny James.
He hasn’t played a lot with the Los Angeles Lakers and is spending most of his time with the G-League South Bay Lakers team, but when he has played, he has struggled.
Smith and many others have talked about these struggles and James has clearly been irked by it.
Ultimately, Smith said he understands where James is coming from and knows he is just attempting to protect his child.
Even though he understands James and his fatherly nature, it doesn’t mean that Smith will stop sharing his opinions.
