Perhaps the most recognizable face and personality on ESPN is Stephen A. Smith, the outspoken host who has been on the network for many years.

He has been looking for a new contract for a while now, and he reportedly will remain at the network for several more years.

“Stephen A. Smith’s deal is complete with ESPN for five years and at least $100 million, The Athletic has learned,” Andrew Marchand wrote on X.

Smith, who grew up in New York City, started out as a print journalist and got his first big gig with The Philadelphia Inquirer in 1994.

For the past two decades, he has been a staple at ESPN, appearing on a number of shows, including “First Take,” while also generally covering the NBA and NFL.

He also hosts a daily show on ESPN Radio.

Smith even branched out a bit into the acting world by making appearances on the soap opera “General Hospital” and in the Chris Rock movie “I Think I Love My Wife.”

He also has made his views known on a number of political issues over the years, and lately, some have been talking about his ambition of possibly running for president.

On ESPN, Smith is known for trolling certain players and teams, such as the Dallas Cowboys, a squad he loves to torture on “First Take” after bad losses.
