Stats Show NBA Team With Highest Scoring Bench This Season

An NBA team isn’t able to go far unless both the starting five and the bench do well during every game.

Some teams have great starting lineups and a second unit that doesn’t perform well, while others have a bench that steps up when the team needs them.

According to StatMuse, the Memphis Grizzlies currently have the most points from their bench.

They have 1,111 points, followed by the Golden State Warriors with 1,073, the Atlanta Hawks with 995, and the Orlando Magic with 968.

Unsurprisingly, the Grizzlies have performed better than many people expected so far in 2024–25.

The Grizzlies’ second unit had another great game the other night.

During their five-point win over the Sacramento Kings, the Grizzlies had four bench players who scored in double digits, including Marcus Smart with 18, Santi Aldama with 15, and Jake LaRavia with 12.

Good benches are key to winning a lot in the league, and the Grizzlies clearly have the best one right now.

Their starting five is also amazing, of course, which makes them a threat throughout the entire game.

After a season they’d rather forget last year, the Grizzlies are currently the fourth team in the West with a 15-8 record.

They have Ja Morant back, they have their health, and the team is finally back on the right path.

Do the Grizzlies have what it takes to go all the way this season and push far into the playoffs?

It seems possible if the team remains healthy and the bench keeps playing like this.
