With Ruben Amorim now in charge, Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United could be settled during the 2024-25 season. Despite ongoing transfer speculation, Rashford has played well for the Red Devils but didn’t start in the loss to Nottingham Forest.
Last month, TEAMtalk reported that Paris Saint-Germain had renewed their interest in Marcus Rashford. Although the same challenges from the summer still stand, the Ligue 1 side may make another attempt to sign him next year.
In the meantime, Rashford is said to be hopeful about regaining his best form, according to TEAMtalk. The outlet also mentioned that PSG manager Luis Enrique is a big admirer of Rashford and believes he can help him return to his peak level.
Ruben Amorim explains the decision not to start Rashford
Even though Rashford scored against Everton, the Portuguese manager opted not to start the 27-year-old and explained his decision following the 3-2 loss to Forest on Saturday.
“It’s likely every game is a new history,” Amorim told reporters. “You have to focus on the opponent and what you see in training and games. Every detail counts, and you want to use different players with different characteristics.
“When you see an opponent, you imagine one type of game, and that is the reason Rashford scored two goals and then went to the bench. We try to find the best team to win matches.”

It will be interesting to see if Rashford becomes a sporadic starter under Amorim and further fuels any rumors of a departure. The Manchester United standout is under contract until 2028 and Transfermarkt puts his value at €60 million.
