NBA Franchise Is Currently Valued At $9.14 Billion

Everyone knows there is a lot of money in the NBA but it’s still surprising to hear about just how much cash is floating around the league.

It’s hard not to be shocked when fans take a look at how valuable NBA franchises are.

Sportico compiled a list of the ten most valuable NBA franchises, and the top spot goes to the Golden State Warriors.

That team is worth an astonishing $9.14 billion, followed by the New York Knicks, who are worth $8.3 billion.

The Los Angeles Lakers follow them ($8.07 billion) and then the Brooklyn Nets ($5.7 billion), the Los Angeles Clippers ($5.68 billion), and the Boston Celtics ($5.66 billion).

The Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, and Toronto Raptors also make the list.

The Warriors sitting atop this list isn’t shocking, considering they are one of this generation’s most dominant and impressive teams.

With their four championships and the star status of Steph Curry, nearly $10 billion sounds about right for Golden State.

The Knicks are a historic franchise with a loyal fanbase in the country’s biggest city, so they also make sense on this list.

The same is true for the Lakers.

Some people might be surprised to see the Nets rank so high, but they also reside in America’s largest city.

The Bulls will always remain popular and a staple of the NBA, even when they aren’t competing well.

This list proves that NBA teams are worth a lot, and they will only be worth more in the years ahead.

In just a few seasons, we will have a team sitting at more than $10 billion, which will be a major milestone for the league.
